How Does Pure Water Window Cleaning Work?
Water, a brush and a pole: how glass gets clean without soap.

The short answer
Water is filtered to remove dissolved minerals. Used on glass with a soft brush on a pole, it lifts dirt and dries without leaving spots or smears, because there is nothing left in the water to leave behind.
The process
- Mains water is filtered to remove dissolved minerals
- The purified water is fed up a pole to a soft brush
- The glass and frames are brushed, then rinsed with more pure water
- The glass is left to dry clear
Why it works
Ordinary tap water leaves marks as it dries because of the minerals in it. Purified water does not, so it dries clear without squeegee marks or soap residue.
Good to know
Very dirty or neglected glass may need more than one visit to look its best. We tell you honestly what to expect.
Questions
Is it better than traditional cleaning?
It works well from the ground on many windows, and it is how our regular rounds are done. Traditional methods suit some jobs, and we use them when they are the right tool.
Does it clean the frames?
Yes, glass, frames and sills are cleaned as standard on a regular round.
Will it work on very dirty windows?
It can, though badly neglected glass may need more than one visit.
