Resin driveway advice
How Do You Care for a Resin Driveway?
Resin surfaces look great when they are cared for gently.

The short answer
Resin driveways should not be treated like block paving. A lighter-pressure clean suited to the surface, and checking what type you have, keeps it looking its best. Follow any care instructions from your installer.

Resin bound or resin bonded?
They are different systems, and the type affects how they should be cleaned. Resin bound is a smooth, mixed surface. Resin bonded is a loose stone surface bonded to a base. If you are not sure which you have, tell us and send a photo.
Why resin gets dull
Algae, moss, leaf staining and general dirt build up, especially in shade and damp spots, and can dull the colour of the stone.
Cleaning with care
We use a controlled, lighter-pressure clean, not the pressure you would use on block paving, and we check the condition of the surface first. Where the surface is loose or damaged, we will say so honestly.
Questions
Can I pressure wash my resin driveway?
High pressure can damage resin surfaces, so we use a lighter, controlled approach. Check any care guidance from your installer.
Will it look new again?
Cleaning removes surface dirt and growth. We cannot promise it will look brand new, particularly on an older surface.
Do you clean resin bonded surfaces?
Please ask, and send a photo. We will tell you honestly what is suitable.
